About the role:

As a Legal Operations Manager at Replit, you will be the central point of contact for legal requests across the company and the operational backbone of our contract lifecycle. You will triage and manage incoming legal requests, own contract management end to end, and support broader corporate compliance and data privacy work. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will keep legal operations running smoothly and reduce risk across the business. Legal Operations

  • Drive the Legal team's operational strategy, understand operational challenges, identify opportunities to improve systems and workflows
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize a best in class AI driven tech stack. Partner cross functionally with AI and GTM/marketing/partnerships teams to identify technologies, negotiate with vendors, and drive implementation.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Legal leadership to manage budget, forecasting, accruals, and track spend
  • Working closely with leadership, own planning cycles, OKRs, and data reporting and metrics
  • Manage outside counsel relationships, including new engagements, billing guidelines invoicing, and e-billing. Drive outside counsel management strategy with a focus on cost discipline and operational accountability
  • Build and maintain knowledge management platforms and learning and development programs that keep the team current and operating effectively.
  • Run the day-to-day operations of the Legal & team, driving efficiencies that enable the team to perform its best work. (for example, manage vendors, contract signatures, attorney memberships, internal practice guidelines, expenses, team meetings).

Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Serve as the primary intake point for legal requests, triaging by urgency and complexity and routing to the right owner
  • Organize and consolidate incoming legal requests into a centralized tracking system
  • Handle baseline legal reviews and approvals directly, escalating complex or high-risk matters to legal counsel
  • Develop and maintain tooling and processes to track requests, contracts, and deadlines
  • Track responsible managers and renewal deadlines
  • Manage contract templates and organization (Vendor MSA, NDAs, offer letters)
  • Implement and maintain safeguards

Corporate and Compliance Matters

  • Assist in strategic corporate transactions, including due diligence and virtual data room building
  • Support post-closing integrations and follow-ups
  • Manage annual filings, updates, and deadline tracking
  • Prepare and update internal company policies
  • Prepare and update team trainings on legal issue spotting, privacy, governance, and HR
  • Track and implement updates to website and privacy policy terms
  • Organize and maintain general records
  • Prepare checklists and provide project support as needed

Data Privacy

  • Track data subject requests (deletions) and assist preparing transparency reporting
  • Organize and maintain data maps
  • Coordinate and track data protection impact assessments

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven legal administrative experience
  • Motivation to grow and expand knowledge base
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently to complete tasks within given deadlines

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
