THE ROLE

Everpure is building a unified, AI-first platform that turns a fleet of storage systems into something that manages itself - giving customers one place to see their whole estate, understand issues before they have an impact, and let the system fix them.

Our team in Prague owns core backend services for that platform. The centerpiece of the architecture is the policy engine - the declarative, intent-based component that holds the desired state of a customer's environment, evaluates live telemetry against it, and produces the violations that everything downstream acts on.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help define and build the core backend services behind this platform, including the declarative, intent-based policy engine at the center of the architecture. You will work closely with engineers in Prague and the US, product management, and architects to shape foundational capabilities and technical direction for a platform that will evolve over the next decade.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and build the declarative, intent-based policy engine at the core of the platform, including policy modeling, evaluation, violation detection, and the state model that keeps results consistent and auditable.
  • Develop resilient distributed control systems that remain reliable across cloud-managed and disconnected, customer-operated deployments.
  • Build scalable and reliable processing for large volumes of fleet telemetry, enabling the platform to understand and respond to the state of customers’ environments.
  • Extend the platform with new signal sources, detection capabilities, and integrations with products such as FlashArray, FlashBlade, Fusion, and Pure1.
  • Own features end to end, from technical design and implementation through test automation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product management, and architects to turn open-ended product needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Shape technical direction and engineering standards as the platform and its architecture continue to evolve.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience building backend or distributed systems that operate reliably at scale, with a strong understanding of concurrency, performance, and fault tolerance.
  • Proficiency in Go or Java, with openness to working across Go, Java, and Python.
  • Experience designing systems with a strong focus on correctness, including data modeling, state consistency, edge cases, and partial system failures.
  • Experience taking software through the product lifecycle, from early concepts and product definition through launch and ongoing production support.
  • Ability to take end-to-end ownership of complex features, from design through operation in production.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including issues that cross service, API, and deployment boundaries.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across engineering teams, product management, and architecture.
