Ubisoft Barcelona Mobile is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Scientist to help our team on their next adventure.

You will support insight initiatives for our Data and Analytics team across the modern data stack (Redshift, dbt, Power BI, GitLab) to turn raw data into decisions, and will be reporting to our Director of Data & Analytics.

Please note that a work permit for Spain obtained prior to applying for the position is mandatory.

• Turning data into actionable insights, by performing hands-on research, data exploration and analysis, to drive decisions and strategies for user acquisition, retention, and monetization.

• Work with the game teams to provide insights into user behaviour, answer key business questions and support A/B test design and analysis.

• Build and maintain reliable, well-documented data models and pipelines that the wider organization can trust and self-serve from.

• Carry out projects in machine learning for behavioural segmentation and monetization.

• Design, build and maintain clear, actionable Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the studio.

• Debug and problem-solve issues to ensure the delivery of accurate and clear analysis, reports, and tools — versioning your work in GitLab following good CI/CD practices.

• Effectively communicate results and insights to senior stakeholders throughout the organization.

• Coordinate, challenge and share the best analytical practices and methods within the organization.

• Explore and prototype applications of AI and Generative AI (LLMs, AI agents, copilots) to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, and uncover new player insights.

• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Machine Learning, Data Science, and AI/GenAI trends.

• Contribute to the knowledge base and culture of the team.

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (i.e. Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science...). PhD in any of these disciplines is a plus.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in similar positions, ideally in the mobile gaming industry.

• Highly proficient in SQL as well as Python for data exploration and analysis.

• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses, ideally Amazon Redshift, and data transformation tools such as dbt.

• Solid experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI (or similar BI tools).

• Comfortable working with version control (Git/GitLab) as part of the daily analytics workflow.

• Robust understanding of advanced statistics suitable for the analysis of skewed populations.

• Experience designing effective ways of communicating, visualising and reporting results/analysis.

• Experience in predictive analytics and segmentation.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail.

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up analysis, coding, or documentation.

• Exposure to applying Generative AI / LLMs to analytics use cases (e.g. natural-language querying, automated insight generation, player-facing chat experiences).

• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP) and project management tools (e.g. JIRA).

• Software engineering best practices beyond Git, such as CI/CD pipelines and code review.

• Self-motivation, organizational skills, team spirit, proactivity.

• Passion for games. Interest in mobile F2P games.

• Ticket Restaurant: 220€ per month, and a flexible compensation plan (ticket transport & ticket nursery).
• Flexible working hours: 40-hour workweek with start times between 8 AM and 10 AM (or from 7:30 AM when working onsite to avoid traffic jams), and early leave from 4 PM (Fridays from 2 PM).
• Reduced schedule (35 hrs per week) in July and August, Easter, Christmas holidays, and special days like Sant Jordi and Revetlla de Sant Joan.
• Personal Matters Hours: 24 hours paid for by Ubisoft that you can use for personal matters during your work schedule
