Description du poste
We are seeking an HR business partner to lead our day-to-day HR operations and support our teams in a dynamic production environment. This is a role that is both strategic and hands-on, in which you will work closely with senior management and department heads to ensure the comprehensive management of HR processes. As a key advisor, you will guide and equip managers to help them effectively address HR challenges within their teams.
This role requires a high degree of adaptability in the face of workforce fluctuations related to production activities (team growth and downsizing based on project progress), as well as the ability to switch between strategic advising and operational tasks.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying needs to onboarding;
- Collaborate with department heads to anticipate staffing needs based on the expansion and contraction phases of projects;
- Effectively manage critical hires and track open positions;
- Coordinate bilingual job postings and ensure compliance with local language requirements, as applicable.
- Support managers during performance reviews, improvement plans, and the use of performance management tools;
- Participate in setting objectives and tracking their progress
- Guide managers toward preventive and effective management of performance issues.
- Serve as the HR point of contact for managers and employees—be present, available, and responsive;
- Oversee the resolution of complex labor relations issues (conflicts, accommodations, complaints, disengagement, etc.);
- Advise managers on HR best practices to maintain a work environment conducive to team development and the achievement of objectives;
- Support managers in developing their leadership skills, fostering team dynamics, and conducting difficult conversations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive management on workforce strategy and the optimization of organizational structures.
- Oversee the entire termination process—whether voluntary or involuntary—in compliance with labor standards and legal obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HR systems;
- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable labor laws;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies tailored to a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience as an HR generalist or HRBP, ideally in the VFX, animation, or any other related industry;
- Solid experience in end-to-end recruitment in fast-paced, high-volume environments—experience in a production setting is a plus;
- Excellent foundation in performance management and labor relations;
- Experience in handling terminations with empathy and rigor;
- Good knowledge of local labor standards and labor law;
- Ability to work independently with minimal HR infrastructure—this is a generalist, hands-on role, not a specialized one;
- Excellent judgment, exemplary discretion, and the ability to quickly build trust with managers and employees at all levels;
