Job Description
The IT Support Intern assists the Information Technology team with providing technical support to employees, maintaining computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network resources. This internship offers hands-on experience in troubleshooting, customer service, and IT operations while working alongside experienced technology professionals.
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in person, by phone, or through a help desk ticketing system.
- Perform software installations, updates, and system maintenance.
- Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and technology assets.
- Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities by preparing and collecting IT equipment.
- Help maintain compliance with company security policies and best practices.
- Participate in IT projects and other technology initiatives as assigned.
- Must be able to analyze and solve problems effectively while providing excellent communication and customer service.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and learning new technologies as needed.
- Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure.
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or GED
- Currently pursuing a college degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
- Basic understanding of Windows and/or IOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Cloud applications, or similar productivity tools.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting
