Job Description

  • Manage and validate IMDS submissions and supplier material declarations, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct material and substance compliance assessments against IMDS, ELV, GADSL, REACH, RoHS, SCIP, and applicable global regulations.
  • Perform early-stage DfE and compliance assessments from innovation/concept gates through product launch.
  • Identify material, substance, and regulatory risks and provide actionable inputs for material selection and design decisions.
  • Assess compliance with PFAS restrictions, SVHC, REACH Annex XVII, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Review BOMs, material compositions, technical documentation, and supplier evidence to establish product compliance status.
  • Define and communicate DfE and material compliance requirements to Engineering, Procurement, Product Management, and Suppliers.
  • Act as SPOC for customer compliance queries, questionnaires, regulatory requirements, and compliance evidence.
  • Track regulatory changes and translate them into product, material, supplier, and design requirements.
  • Develop Power BI, Excel/VBA, and automation solutions for compliance tracking, data validation, reporting, and process efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in IMDS, ELV, GADSL, REACH, RoHS, SCIP, PFAS, SVHC, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, and global substance regulations.
  • Strong understanding of material composition, restricted substances, thresholds, exemptions, regulatory applicability, and DfE principles.
  • Proven experience in supplier/customer coordination, compliance assessments, risk identification, and integrating compliance requirements into product development.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel/VBA, automation, data analysis, Material Compliance/DfE; automotive experience preferred.
  • Experience 6+ years preferred
