Job Description

We are seeking a technically-driven Product Application Engineer (PAE) specializing in MEMS acoustic products (MEMS microphones and MEMS speakers) to join our technical field application team, with a strong focus on high-performance audio products and premium/high-end acoustic solutions.

This role focuses on customer-facing software and system technical support, product design-in guidance, and acoustic system debugging for consumer audio and smart hardware products.

The PAE will act as the core technical bridge between the company’s R&D, global customers, ODM/OEM partners and customer facing roles(For e.g. Field Application Engineers(FAE), Product Managers(PrM) and Sales). You will independently support customer project development, solve electrical and acoustic technical problems in product integration, ensure smooth mass production of customer projects, and continuously promote product penetration in TWS earbuds, wearable devices, smartphones, smart glasses, home audio equipment and automotive acoustic systems. This position requires solid audio software and system expertise, on-site debugging capability and efficient cross-team communication skills.

  • Full-Cycle Technical Support: Provide technical support for key customers and channel partners, including remote guidance and on-site technical support, focusing on MEMS microphone and MEMS speaker hardware integration, electrical debugging and acoustic performance optimization.
  • Design-In Guidance: Assist customers in completing product design-in work, including schematic review, PCB layout optimization guidance, acoustic cavity design verification, sound channel design, mechanical integration and matching debugging of audio amplifier circuits to solve design bottlenecks in the early stage of customer projects.
  • Acoustic Calibration & Troubleshooting: Responsible for acoustic performance testing, tuning and problem troubleshooting of MEMS audio products, including SNR, frequency response, THD, SPL, directivity, echo cancellation, noise reduction performance calibration, output standardized test reports and tuning schemes.
  • System-Level Audio Debugging: Support customers in system-level audio debugging and verification in consumer scenarios such as TWS headsets, wearable devices, smartphones, smart audio and AR/VR devices, resolve problems such as sound distortion, background noise, sound leakage and acoustic mismatch.
  • Value Promotion & Customer Education: Sort out and develop customer-oriented technical documents, including product application notes, hardware design guidelines, integration manuals, common problem solutions and conduct regular technical training for customers and internal sales and FAE teams. Actively promote and educate customers on the value of high-performance sound capture.
  • Feedback & Product Definition: Collect customer technical feedback and market application pain points, sort out and feed back to R&D and product teams, assist in product iteration, performance optimization, new product definition and improve product market adaptability.
  • Sales Collaboration: Cooperate with internal sales and FAE teams to carry out technical demonstrations, scheme promotion and project follow-up, assist in winning customer orders and accelerating project mass production and delivery.
  • Mass Production Support: Follow up on technical problems of customer mass production stage, complete fault analysis and root cause verification, propose improvement plans and ensure the stability of customer mass production.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Microelectronics, Electronic Information engineering and other related majors.
  • Experience: 2+ years of working experience in audio hardware applications, FAE or system engineering, familiar with MEMS microphone and MEMS speaker product principles, performance parameters and industry application scenarios.
  • Acoustic Testing Tools: Strong experience analyzing and evaluating audio products with hardware tools such as B&K, GRAS, Audio Precision, Listen Inc. (Soundcheck) or similar, familiar with acoustic performance test standards and calibration methods.
  • Audio Engineering: Solid knowledge of audio circuit design, audio amplifier matching, acoustic signal processing, noise reduction and echo cancellation principles, able to independently complete hardware debugging and acoustic tuning of audio systems.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Familiar with basic electronic bench equipment such as oscilloscope, signal generator and spectrum analyzer, capable of troubleshooting electrical and acoustic hardware faults quickly.
  • Application Expertise: Familiar with audio application scenarios of TWS earphones, wearable devices, smartphones, smart glasses and consumer audio products with relevant project design-in and mass production support experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and fluent English, able to accurately communicate technical schemes with customers, write standardized technical documents and problem analysis reports.
