Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities : Enterprise SharePoint Platform Administration

  • Lead administration and support of large-scale enterprise SharePoint farms consisting of 50+ servers across Development, QA, DR, and Production environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain high availability SharePoint environments.
  • Perform platform capacity planning, farm optimization, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and enforce operational standards and best practices.

SharePoint Architecture & Governance

  • Provide technical leadership for SharePoint platform architecture and roadmap.
  • Establish governance frameworks covering: Site lifecycle management
  • Security governance
  • Content management
  • Capacity management
  • Compliance requirements

Conduct architecture reviews and platform assessments.

Drive modernization and migration strategies.

SharePoint Online & Hybrid Environments

  • Manage and support hybrid SharePoint environments.
  • Lead SharePoint Online adoption initiatives.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services including: Teams
  • OneDrive
  • Power Platform
  • Microsoft Search
  • Entra ID

Migration Leadership

  • Lead enterprise migration projects from: SharePoint 2013/2016/2019
  • Legacy collaboration platforms
  • File shares

Develop migration strategies, governance controls, and validation processes.

Perform migration assessments using ShareGate or AvePoint tools.

Operational Support & Incident Management

  • Serve as escalation point for critical P1 and P2 incidents.
  • Lead root cause analysis sessions and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with Microsoft and vendor support teams during critical outages.
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.

Automation & Innovation

  • Design and implement advanced PowerShell automation solutions.
  • Automate: Health checks
  • User access reviews
  • Configuration validation

  • Capacity monitoring
  • Reporting activities

Identify opportunities for AI-driven and automated operational improvements.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance.

Perform proactive capacity and growth planning.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement enterprise security best practices.

Support audit and compliance initiatives.

Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and regulatory requirements.

Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

  • Own SharePoint disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Design and maintain backup and restore strategies.
  • Conduct periodic DR drills and recovery validations.
  • Ensure RPO and RTO targets are met.

Release & Deployment Management

  • Lead deployment and upgrade activities.
  • Deploy: Custom SharePoint Solutions

  • Security Patches
  • Subscription Edition Feature Releases

Establish deployment and rollback procedures.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor SharePoint administrators and L2/L3 engineers.

  • Define operational KPIs and service improvement plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

10+ Years of experience with at least 5+ Years of experience in Onpremise SharePoint Administration work
