We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Logistics department at the Distribution Centre as a Supplier Development Controller !
As a Supplier Development Controller in the Logistics Procurement Team, reporting to the Procurement Team Manager, you will ensure timely and inventory sensitive scheduling of components to support both production & spares. You will also manage supplier performance, handle foreign trade and customs compliance topics and contribute to projects that improve procurement efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring 100% availability of raw material components for production and spares usage at the Worcester and Clay Cross sites.
- Approximately 70 suppliers located globally.
- Processing daily / weekly material schedules with suppliers.
- Chasing suppliers to expedite overdue deliveries.
- Working with suppliers to overcome capacity and material bottlenecks within the global supply chain.
- Coordinating and driving improvement activities with suppliers to improve OTIF & delivery performance.
- Inventory management in line with departmental KPI’s.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the area to eliminate waste and streamlining of processes.
- Managing and supporting Foreign Trade and customs related topics.
Qualifications
Education requirements:
Degree in a Business Management / Supply Chain discipline is desired but not essential, or equivalent experience.
Skills & Attributes:
- Experience of working within a Logistics environment is desirable.
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP – Power Bi and AI packages would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail, decision making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with personnel from all levels of the business.
- Able to use own initiative with the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
- Experience of working within a fast moving environment coping with varying workloads, pressures and deadlines.
- Flexibility of approach towards working hours.

Working Hours : 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak
