Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province. HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

1/ Responsible for Terminal Tooling Maintenance & Reliability

  • Maintain, repair, rework and refurbish progressive stamping tools on the terminal line
  • Execute preventive maintenance and manage spare parts to reduce tooling downtime

2/ Perform Terminal Tooling Technical Contact & Problem Solving

  • Act as technical contact and resolve tooling issues in project and mass production
  • Perform structured troubleshooting and apply existing MAE concepts for recurring tooling issues
  • Prepare design inputs, conduct trials and design basic fixtures or jigs based on defined requirements

3/ Coordinate Terminal Tooling Supplier & Cross-Functional Activities

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve day-to-day tooling issues
  • Prepare tooling readiness inputs for customer, quality and project release requirements, including PPAP
  • Execute assigned tooling project tasks, including preparation, trial execution and follow-up actions

4/ Manage Terminal Tool-shop Equipment, Documentation Standards & Knowledge

  • Install and improve tool-shop equipment to support maintenance capability
  • Document maintenance know-how, troubleshooting cases and lessons learned for future reference

5/ Develop Terminal Team Competency & Implement Standards

  • Train tool-shop technicians on maintenance, repair and troubleshooting standards
  • Implement quality, safety and 5S standards in the tool-shop

6/ Other tasks assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Manufacturing, Tool making, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2–3 years in progressive die maintenance, repair, and tool design
  • Experience in stamping processes for automotive, connector, or electronics components
  • Exposure to high-speed press equipment (e.g., Bruderer) is a plus
  • Experience designing fixtures/jigs or supporting new tooling projects is a plus
  • Strong ability to read precision die drawings and interpret micron-level tolerances
  • Hands-on skill with die grinding, EDM, or other precision toolroom equipment
  • Basic tool/fixture design capability (CAD skills a plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis mindset
  • Working proficiency in English for cross-site coordination
  • Willingness to travel for short-term overseas training/technical handover
  • Proactive, ownership-driven, comfortable building process from limited documentation
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and technician
