Starting a session
The Interview Coach is at Dashboard, then Interview Coach. It needs a Pro or Premium plan. On the pricing page, text mode is listed under Pro and voice under Premium.
Setup asks for:
- The role you are interviewing for, and optionally the company.
- Interview format: technical or behavioral.
- Difficulty, question count (default 5, up to 20), and an optional per-question timer.
- Optionally, the job description (up to 10,000 characters), so questions come from the actual role rather than generic templates.
You can also launch a session pre-filled from the Question Bank, or straight from a job card in your Job Tracker, which fills in the company and role for you.
During the session
Answer each question and the coach evaluates your answer, gives feedback, and can ask a follow-up before moving on. When the session ends you get a review with a score per answer and an average across the session.
Sessions are saved. You can leave mid-session and resume later, revisit any past session from the history list, or delete one.
Voice mode
Voice mode turns the same session into out-loud practice: the coach speaks its questions and you answer by talking. Your speech is transcribed with filler-word detection, so the feedback can catch the "um, like, you know" habits that text practice never surfaces. You can pick from ten coach voices.
You will need microphone permission in your browser. If speech synthesis is temporarily unavailable, the session falls back to your browser's built-in speech so practice does not stop. Audio answers can be up to 25 MB per recording.
Getting more out of it
Behavioral questions reward preparation more than improvisation. Run the same role twice: once cold to find your weak answers, then again after tightening them. The per-session history makes the improvement visible.
