Deleting your account

How deletion works, what is erased immediately, what is deliberately kept, and what to do when deletion is blocked because you own a workspace.

How to delete your account

Go to Dashboard, then Settings, then the Danger Zone tab, and choose Delete Account. You will be asked to type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm; the check is enforced on the server too, so nothing happens without it.

Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, no recovery window, and no soft-delete you can email us to reverse.

What is erased

Deletion runs as a single database transaction, immediately:

  • Your profile and login.
  • Your resumes, portfolios, and job applications.
  • Your Career Passport and its share links; your handle is released.
  • Notes, tags, ratings, and cached profiles recruiters kept about you inside Neuradesk Hire.
  • Interview and messaging records tied to your account.

Your uploaded files (resume files, an uploaded profile photo, attachments you sent in messages) are deleted from storage right after the database transaction commits. The privacy policy states removal of personal data within 30 days; in practice the mechanism is immediate, and 30 days is the outer bound.

What is deliberately kept

  • Do-not-contact records. If you asked not to be contacted by a recruiter, deleting your account does not reset that; keeping the suppression is the only way to honor it.
  • Attachments the other person sent in a conversation; those are their files.
  • A minimal audit record that a deletion happened, without your content.

If deletion is blocked: the workspace owner case

If you are the only Owner of a Neuradesk Hire workspace that still has other members, deletion is refused. Deleting you would leave that workspace with nobody able to invite, remove members, or manage billing.

The fix is one of:

  1. Open the workspace's Settings, then Team, promote another member to Owner, and delete your account again; or
  2. If the workspace is no longer needed, delete the workspace first, then your account.

A workspace where you are the sole member does not block deletion.

If deletion fails for any other reason, email support@neuradeskai.com and we will complete it for you.
