Career Passport visibility: PUBLIC, LINK_ONLY, and PRIVATE
Exactly who can see your passport in each mode, how share links with expiry and one-time use work, and how click-to-reveal protects your contact details.

Your Career Passport is a public career profile at neuradeskai.com/p/your-handle. Because it can carry real career data, its visibility is the most important setting on it. There are three modes, and they do exactly what they say.
PUBLIC
Anyone with the URL can view it. The page is indexable by search engines and listed in our sitemap, so it can be found by searching your name or handle. Switching to PUBLIC is recorded with a timestamp as your consent to publication.
Contact details get extra protection even on a PUBLIC passport: your verified email and phone are never printed in the page itself. A visitor has to click to reveal them, reveals are rate-limited, and only verified contact details can be revealed at all. Visitors can also send you a message through a relay form without ever seeing your address.
LINK_ONLY
The passport is reachable only through a share link you create. Share links are bearer tokens: you can set an expiry in days, or make a link one-time so it dies after its first use. Only a hash of the token is stored on our side.
A LINK_ONLY passport is never indexed and never in the sitemap, even for someone holding a valid link. Anyone arriving without a valid link, including with an expired or already-used one, sees a generic private screen. Click-to-reveal contact does not operate in this mode; it works on PUBLIC passports only.
PRIVATE
Visitors see a screen that says the profile is private. Nothing of your content is shown, and the page tells search engines not to index it. Deliberately, this is the exact same screen a failed share link shows, so a visitor can never tell the difference between "wrong link" and "the owner went private".
Handles
Your handle is 3 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens. You can rename it once; the old address then permanently redirects to the new one, so a link you already shared keeps working. If you delete your passport, the handle is quarantined for 90 days before anyone else can claim it.
Changing modes
Visibility lives in your passport settings and takes effect immediately: flipping away from PUBLIC also removes the page from our sitemap on the next crawl, because the sitemap is generated live, not at deploy time.
