THE ROLE:

The Territory Systems Engineer is a core technical role responsible for driving sales and technical adoption across our key commercial accounts in the Nordics. This position is for an experienced engineer who brings technical proficiency and a consultative approach to pre-sales. You will act as the technical authority within your territory, empowering partners to scale and delivering complex technical solutions with independence. You’ll be the bridge between customer business challenges and Pure’s technical vision, driving high-impact sales outcomes without the need for day-to-day oversight. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, partnership enablement, and a proactive approach to supporting high-volume, transactional sales motions. You will partner closely with the Territory Account Executive to lead technical sales campaigns, driving new business and expansion opportunities from discovery to closure. This Territory Systems Engineer role is a strategic position where you will immediately leverage your existing technical expertise and channel knowledge to drive high-volume, transactional sales motions.

You won't be in this alone. You'll be joining a highly collaborative Nordics Systems Engineering team known for sharing knowledge and celebrating successes together. Your contributions will be immediately recognized and valued. We believe business happens between people, so you will act as a trusted advisor, leading high-stakes customer meetings across the Nordic region.

What Success Looks Like: You will succeed by becoming the go-to technical partner in your territory. Success is defined by your ability to collaboratively drive deals to closure and your reputation as the advisor customers trust to solve their toughest infrastructure challenges.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serve as the Technical Sales Lead: Partner directly with the Territory Account Executive to drive technical sales campaigns, manage complex discovery, present solutions, and secure deal wins.
  • Drive Partner Collaboration and Enablement: While you will enable partner Systems Engineers to scale, you will also work side-by-side with them and the Territory Account Executive to execute on joint business opportunities and win competitive deals.
  • Lead with Presence: You will manage technical relationships face-to-face across the Nordic region. This role involves travel (typically 2–3 days/week), which you and your Territory Account Executive will collaboratively schedule to maximize impact, meet customer needs, and win deals.
  • Facilitate Technical Validation: Review and validate sizing, quotes, and technical architectures for various solutions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer needs and product capabilities.
  • Drive Tool & Resource Adoption: Increase awareness and usage of Pure's sales and technical tools across the partner ecosystem, ensuring they are leveraged effectively at the appropriate stages of the sales cycle.
  • Support Collaborative Growth: Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with both the Territory Account Executive and Channel Partners to ensure seamless technical support, shared goal achievement, and ultimately, closed deals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Proven Technical Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience in a customer-facing or pre-sales technical role (e.g., Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, Infrastructure Consultant) within the IT infrastructure market. A track record of independently managing technical sales cycles and solving complex customer requirements is essential.
  • Domain Expertise: Significant expertise (5+ years) with data storage, virtualization, or modern cloud infrastructure. You should possess the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and design solutions that go beyond standard configurations.
  • Relationship-First Approach: Comfortable leading customer meetings and building deep, long-term technical relationships in person. You are eager to be on the road to ensure we maintain high-touch engagement across our territory.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated success working closely with a sales counterpart (like a Territory Account Executive) and channel partners to achieve shared business and technical objectives.
  • Autonomy and Deal Ownership: A high degree of self-motivation and initiative with a proven ability to independently manage technical sales cycles, apply complex technical concepts effectively, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Communication & Coaching Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical value to diverse audiences, from partner Systems Engineers to business decision-makers. Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
  • Organizational Resilience: Excellent organizational and time management skills necessary to juggle multiple partner engagements, technical validations, and training support activities in a dynamic territory.
