Job Description
Perform tire grading and quality inspections to ensure compliance with Continental and global quality standards, classify and disposition off-standard products, and support production quality processes. Maintain accurate quality records, operate bead heating equipment, and uphold all environmental, safety, and quality management requirements.
- Inspect, grade, and classify tires to ensure compliance with Continental quality standards.
- Determine disposition and next process steps for off-standard or non-conforming tires.
- Evaluate tires returned from uniformity, balancing, weighing, and over-inspection processes.
- Accurately enter and maintain quality-related data in grading systems.
- Identify quality issues and take appropriate corrective actions, including notifying stakeholders and stopping equipment when necessary.
- Operate bead heating machines according to established procedures.
- Rotate across shifts as needed to support production requirements.
- Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
- Maintain knowledge of Continental quality standards, off-standard catalogs, and applicable QMS certifications and requirements.
- Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years' experience in manufacturing
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting
- No relocation assistance is offered for this position
- One or more years' experience as a visual inspector, rework operator, or quality at Continental Sumter
