About the role
Join our production team in Bengaluru as a Machinist. You will operate milling machines to produce high-quality components, playing a crucial role in our manufacturing process. This position is for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to precision.
What you'll bring
Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Machinist, with a specific focus on milling operations. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics is required. Familiarity with various measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers is essential. Experience with CNC milling is a plus.
- CNC machine operation - setup, programming, and troubleshooting
- Precision measurement tools - micrometers, calipers, bore gauges
- Blueprint interpretation - GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications
- Material properties - understanding of metals (steel, aluminum, brass) and plastics
- Tooling selection - choosing appropriate cutting tools for different materials and operations
- Preventative maintenance - routine inspection and upkeep of machinery
- Quality control - in-process and final inspection of machined parts
- Safety protocols - adherence to workshop safety regulations
- Problem-solving - diagnosing and resolving machining issues
- Communication skills - clear reporting of progress and issues to supervisors
What you'll do
Set up and operate milling machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform routine checks and maintenance on machinery to keep it in good working order. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to tolerances. Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols.
